Down dog is yoga’s most popular pose and when done correctly creates a magical effect through out your body.
Downward-Facing Dog — Adho Mukha Svanasana (Ah-doh MOO-kuh shvan-AHS-uh-nuh) — works your entire body at once. It is a standing pose and mild inversion all at once.
At Twist Yoga you will find this pose in each of our yoga systems – Flame, Breeze, Bamboo and Stone yoga.
A regular practice of this pose can improve digestion, relieve back pain, and help prevent osteoporosis. It is also therapeutic for sinusitis, asthma, flat feet, and for the symptoms of menopause.
